Wolfson College is the largest graduate college of the University of Oxford, with a diverse, international population of over 600 graduate students.

The College was founded in 1966 thanks to generous donations from the Wolfson and Ford Foundations.

Hubbub is our crowdfunding initiative to establish a post-doctoral Research Fellowship. In the current economic situation, the step from a doctorate into the first academic post is often extremely challenging, in particular in smaller subjects like Tibetan and Himalayan Studies. This Fellowship will give young scholars the opportunity to become researchers and explore the rich cultural heritage of the Himalayas. It is an investment into the future, since they will be the ones who pass their knowledge of the Tibetan cultural heritage on to future generations.

If you support this project, you will automatically receive updates about it. You can also interact directly with the team behind the project by leaving a comment or sending them a message.

Hubbub is a crowdfunding platform. Crowdfunding is sponsorship by a crowd of many donors, each making an individual, small donation in return for a small reward, like a t-shirt or a project poster. Hubbub provides a platform to showcase projects to a potentially huge audience, and gives sponsors an easy way to donate.

This project must achieve its minimum needed by its completion date or no funds change hands. Why? Part of the appeal of crowdfunding is that sponsors get to engage with projects and see where their money is going. This keeps everyone happy!
